Press Release: 5th July’10
Muslims Rise up & Speak out
Muslim Should NOT Remain Silent
Early in 2006 many countries across the globe, in particular the European counties, united in insulting the Messenger of Allah via the use of vile caricatures. Civilians, newspapers, magazines, news channels, radio programs, business leaders and politicians collectively participated in this evil vilification of a beloved man (may the peace & blessings of Allah be upon him). Furthermore, Muslims have since witnessed ongoing attacks on their way of life, all of which have taken place in the name of the new idol of our time...‘freedom’.
It is under this so called freedom that the freedom of Muslims to practise their religion comes under the spot light. We witness how many of the issues that are prevalent in society which have any links to Islam come under scrutiny and are subsequently attacked. One such issue currently under attack is that of the niqaab, the face covering of a Muslim woman, along with this, one can find many other examples such as the Quran, the Messenger Muhammad (may the peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) and even the minarets of a mosque coming under question.
In a time where great difficulties are being experienced across the globe in the form of the growing economic crisis or the self destructive foreign policy, one might ask why such a small piece of cloth has become the cause of so much controversy? One may also ask why is it necessary to insult a man who almost 2 billion people around the globe love and follow? And one may also wonder why is it necessary to attack the Quran which is the divine source for the fastest growing ideology in the world?
The answer is quite simple.... they are all linked to Islam.
Whenever an issue is linked to the true teachings of Islam it can become a cause for concern, this theory is not unsupported, read on and the hypocrisy will be become evident. Many issues which have raised concern, such as the Islamic dress code are prevalent in the West, such matters raise fear because they are not only held sacred to the ‘immigrant’ offspring of Muslims, rather more and more people are flocking to the beautiful religion of Islam and taking up the commands of Allah (swt) The rise in the true teachings of Islam has caused a stir in the West because it is these teachings that many Westerners were sent to demolish and conquer over in the past and currently in Iraq and Afghanistan. With the collapse of the Islamic state being funded and mastermind by the West it has now become a cause for concern that this very same ideology has grown in their own back garden and is now knocking on their front door.
An increase in the rates of those choosing to become Muslims is testimony that the religion of Islam will not be distinguished and neither is it oppressive in any form. Rather it is a majority of women flocking to the religion, choosing to shed the skimpy coverings of ‘freedom’ and democracy, instead choosing to honour themselves in the full coverings of the khimar, jilbab and even the niqaab
As part of their concern and threat to their so called freedom, the Democratic Crusaders have now brought under scrutiny the niqaab, a covering that provides much honour, dignity and tranquillity to the women who choose to wear it. This violation of Muslim women’s rights has already occurred in Belgium and Barcelona, and we see the call for this violation in France, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Italy and many other European countries. Rather it is the ‘freedom’ and barbaric legislations of these so called civilised countries that should be brought to account under the spot light. These countries consider themselves to be amongst those who uphold the beacon of freedom, in contrary this freedom is nothing but mere hypocrisy which is evident to those who are able to see past the muddy widows of the media.
How clear the hypocrisy is to those with any intelligence. The hypocrisy is evident in the following;
On one hand: The concept of ‘freedom’ allows for women to be exploited for their sexuality and to be treated as mere sexual objects via their promotion in industries such as pornography, cosmetics and fashion.
But on the Other Hand: The same concept of ‘freedom’ violates women if they wish to free themselves from exploitations or the perversions of society by choosing to honour themselves with the garment of a believing woman. The garment which liberates them from luring and lustful evil eyes, providing a befitting dress where one is judged on their merit not their looks. This fairer system and liberating alternative, rather than being commended, is met with hostility, negative labels (oppressive or extreme) and calls for it banning to come into place!
Whereas the women who are enslaved to ‘freedom’ and true exploitation are encouraged to undress themselves, in order to fulfil the desires of eagle eyed men. Is this the ‘freedom’ which is so highly regarded in the west? This is nothing but sheer hypocrisy, and the list of hypocrisy is endless to those who choose to look beyond the muddy windows of the media.
It is in light of this that the Muslims have come together in Cardiff upon one platform entitled ‘The Ummah of Muhammad’ (The Nation of Messenger Muhammad- may the peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) to break the shackles of silence by openly and publically declaring that we will no longer put up with these constant attacks on our way of life. Rather we will stand and rise up in solidarity by showing condemnation of the evil acts taking place against our Muslim neighbours in Europe.
The Kuffar (non-Muslims) are at war against Islam and Muslims, by their nature when they have authority and power, they will never fail to be treacherous against all that is held sacred in the religion of Islam, as Allah (swt) said;
“Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve.” [EMQ 60:2]
On record, we witness the leaders amongst the Crusaders speaking words of compassion, tolerance and unity but recent events, in particular those related to caricatures, proved the evil of their tongues, as Allah (swt) said;
“They (Kuffar) desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.” [EMQ 3:118]
History has proven that whenever we remain silent or allow the oppression of kufr to take place over us, the attacks only increase in their severity. The following attacks including the veil, slander of our beloved Messenger, homes being raided, occupation of land and the killings of innocent Muslims is proof that silence only leads to an increase in oppression.
As Muslims it is our duty to support our fellow Muslims wherever they may be, otherwise the Crusaders will continue to divide and destroy this divine Religion.
“Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma'ruf (all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful.” [Surah Al Imran 3:104]
The Messenger of Allah said, “A Muslim is a brother to another Muslim he does not oppress him nor abandon him.”
And Allah said, “The believers, men and women, are Awliyaa' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma’rouf (Good), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (Evil).” [EMQ 9:71]
We, as ‘The Ummah of Muhammad’ call upon all Muslims to raise their voices against the aggression and oppression that is taking place against your brothers and sisters. We remind you to fulfil your duty of coming out to command the good and forbidding the evil, do not remain silent as Allah will account you for what you did and did not do for His sake.
The Ummah of Muhammad have organised a peaceful demonstration on Saturday the 10th of July at 2pm, gathering at City Hall, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3ND.
